Lewisham Speaking Up

The Big Group

People meeting around a table
The Big Group is a meeting for people with a learning disability. We are self advocates and we meet to talk about different things. We choose what we want to talk about. Sometimes we invite people to come and tell us about their subject. We meet every month at the Albany in Deptford.
People sitting around a table in a meeting
Our people’s parliament reps run the meeting. We choose what we want to talk about at the people’s parliament. Anyone with a learning disability in Lewisham can come to the Big Group. Most meetings take place on Fridays.
